Coronavirus journal – Day 3

These Coronavirus days have changed the lives of so many people, it will enter the history books  as a turning point of the start of 21st century as the third decade starts with such a colossal turmoil, be it medical, financial or sociological. As such, I will be adding to my regular photo entries also a personal journal that will focus on facts and my opinions on the developments of these significant pandemic affecting our lives so profoundly, with images, photos and text. I hope you will enjoy reading it as I enjoy writing and documenting my life in this era.

Coronavirus Statistics – 17/03/2020, 8pm
Infected – 324

Deaths – 0

Our day started out with my wife suffering from a migraine that late in the evening developed into a fever (luckily, without any other symptoms).  That left me to be with the kids to do homework and also to play (and to work to some degree). Around mid morning my wife managed to help while I done some focus work until late afternoon.

Today we also received instructions not to leave the house unless it was for work, groceries or medical aid. The whole population entered into quarantine, de-facto. This was actually what I had in mind for the past week (yes, a week ago, when we were working from the office). I told my colleague that we all need to self quarantine ourselves for two weeks and even more until this pass.

Thinking about groceries, best way is online shopping, right? Wrong! all main online shopping sites were down or non-responsive so potentially I will have to physically purchase groceries this Friday. Let’s see how it goes tomorrow morning..eventually I managed to purchase the needed items, no way I am getting out of the house…let’s hope I wasn’t infected in the passing days.

Stay Healthy!
